An online pinboard...

Have you seen Pinterest? It's like an online pinboard where you can keep a track on things you find on the internet, a great alternative to junking up your computer with images and links. You can follow my board here and my daughter Mel's here. Be warned though, it's very addictive!

Hot off the press!

That's right, Barbara's Treasures is now the proud owner of fancy shaped business cards! Complete with the new branding look, courtesy of my wonderful daughter Mel (bit cheaky seeing as how I'm the author behind this blog post, but I'm sure Mum won't mind!) they also double as display cards for Barbara's miniature creations. To see more of Mel's design and craft escapades visit blackswandesigns.co.nz or bod.co.nz. They getting some great comments out on the streets, so be sure to pick one up next time you see Barbara and spread the word!

A 9mm girl called Dot.

Have a squiz at this sweet little stop motion animation following the adventures of Dot, all shot on a Nokia N8 using CellScope technology...

Tiny worlds in a bottle...

A few more cute finds from the interwebs, this time miniature terrarium pendants made in little glass jars...

Located in Asheville, North Carolina, Mai McKemy (aka Woodland Belle) draws inspiration from the nature that surrounds her.

These two are from Japanese artist Akinobu Izumi, who sells her creations on Etsy under Tiny World In A Bottle. Pop over and check them out!

How cute are these! 1:12 scale dollhouse miniatures by Pei Li, who descibes her design style as a mixture of shabby chic, worn out elegance and whimsical. To check out more of her delightful work head over to peiliminiatures.com.
